Hello Reda,

My name is Oussama, a student from Salé/Rabat, I would like to know as you are the creator of the MA User Group, if they are any preparations or plans to host a Wikipedia 15 event? Also, I am part of a non-gov association that just started, and there is an incertitude about hosting a small event related to that? what do you think is possible?

Thank you in advance! OussDB (talk) 02:33, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @OussDB:
Thank you for your interest to the group.
Yes, we thought about organizing an event to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Wikipedia, but we have not decided which one.
However, the organization of the event by the NGOs you represent seems interesting.
Can you tell me more about your event to see how can we help you?
Cordially --Reda benkhadra (talk) 16:42, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Good morning @Reda benkhadra:
Well, we just started internal discussion about it, we're so low on budget, so we also consider the minimum of costs to host.
The idea that i had in mind was to organise a school day in the local college/high school including mini-conferences, an edit-a-thon, and various talk by actual members, we rely on social media for external participation but, As an association, we try the max to work around the neighbourhood for the moment.
The second idea included the same concept, but with a wider audience, more like, changing the place to M5 University, or some other hosting spaces (Salle Allal Lfassi to cite an example) but we rely on personal finance for now, and we can't do such big things.
Thank you for your interest, and hope we can stay in touch! Here is our NGO page and my personal profile.
Have a good day!
OussDB (talk) 11:06, 18 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Reda, I'm glad you got the article up here, but please be more careful in your edits. You keep inserting unverified, promotional, non-neutral material--this is not the way to improve an article, and I keep having to remove the same material. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 00:18, 1 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Najia Mehadji, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Brest. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Najia Mehadji

[edit]

Thanks for adding this article to the English Wikipedia. I must say it looked very much like a raw machine translation. I have done a bit of copy editing on the biography section but the whole article needs a lot more work. If you want to draw on articles from other languages, please only include passages which you have had time to revise and bring up to a reasonable standard. A short, well written article with the essentials is far better than a long article with all the nonsense produced by Google translate. I hope you continue to contribute to the EN Wikipedia but please try to go for higher quality. Let me know if ever you need further assistance.--Ipigott (talk) 07:56, 2 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

2026 Bidding Nation

[edit]
Hello, I am here to discuss the issue with the recent edits you have made in the pages of Morocco 2026 and United 2026.
I would like to say that although the pages may be protected from vandalism, it would be of good use to eliminate opinions and sources that are not reliable.
I am not asking you to stop but instead look at the source before removing or adding content to the pages.
    Thank You J1577 (talk) 01:53, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@J1577: Thank you for your message. I think you're referring to the edit that you just canceled here; know that a government support has nothing to do with the support that must come from the football federation - because it votes at the FIFA Congress - which is not the case for Saudi Arabia. Cordially, --Reda benkhadra (talk) 02:11, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The issue with the edit in Saudi Arabia is that the support came Frome their government and NOT the official Football Federation.
I would like to state that Qatar also announced it's support to Morocco via their government and was not deleted from the page.
My only request is for you not to express opinions or bias on these pages even if they do not seem positive through your point of view.
Thank You for responding and I hope to see you exppress Morocco in more important and cultural pages. I look forward to reading about them! — Preceding unsigned comment added by J1577 (talkcontribs) 03:20, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@J1577: Hello again,
Having seen your editing comment here, I won't change it, but you the obligation following your logic to revert your edit here on the Moroccan page

Although you had a source for Angola, it was not reliable and I chose to leave it in the end to avoid conflict. Some of the other countries, however, did not have any sources and we're removed. Thank You again for your time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by J1577 (talkcontribs) 03:39, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@J1577: I'm talking about your removing of Albania, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, St. Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia (here) for the same reason as the case of Saudi Arabia --Reda benkhadra (talk) 03:45, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The removal was unintentional. The reason as to why I removed it was because it was uploaded with other countries that did confirm support.
I apologise and ask you to understand that not all countries announce support through their respective FA. The vote is today and edits will not be available for either of the pages for the bids until after the final decision.
Thank you for the talk and I hope you continue your editing and collaborations to Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by J1577 (talkcontribs) 01:41, 13 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure what you mean about reporting, but I'm not watching that article, so I can't comment on what's happening there. Walter Görlitz (talk) 14:42, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Walter Görlitz: In this case, you need to know what has been discussed here before you allow yourself this kind of removal without any reason --Reda benkhadra (talk) 15:01, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that link. Keep your edit wars to one location and don't let them spread to other articles. WP:BRD applies everywhere. If you're going to edit without explaining why or pointing to alternate discussions, then you're digging your own grave. Also, don't ping me any longer. Cheers. Walter Görlitz (talk) 15:09, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Walter Görlitz: The outcome of that discussion was the necessity to create a section "Concerns, criticism & controversies" on Canada–Mexico–United States 2026 FIFA World Cup bid, thing I did. Thank you for your understanding, and please revert your edit. --Reda benkhadra (talk) 15:24, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I've already established several things:
  1. That article is not on my watch list.
  2. The edit warriors (yourself included) did not point to that location during edits.
I will also add,
  1. Your edit summaries were less than helpful or descriptive.
  2. There was absolutely no discussion on the talk page of the article in question.
I am assuming good faith here, but it doesn't seem that you did a good job in explaining anything. There will be no reverting of my edit because there is no consensus on that article's talk page to do so, and the article is now fully locked thanks to your edit warring. Even if I had the will to make the change, I couldn't.
You also did not respect my wished to not be pinged here. I'm going to write this one final time: do not ping me again. I am not watching this talk page either so don't expect a response from here here. If you want to discuss this, take it to the talk page of the article you were edit warring on. I'm not interested in you attempting to justify your poor behaviour in this little corner of the project any longer. Going forward, the best you will get from me here is a link to an article or policy page. Walter Görlitz (talk) 20:03, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Alessandro Ghiretti moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Alessandro Ghiretti, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to 2019 F3 Asian Championship, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Corvus tristis (talk) 16:38, 17 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Reda, and thanks for your contributions. FYI, the CfACP project is currently the subject of two discussions:

As you are a WiR for this project, I hope you will engage in these discussions so that the project can go more smoothly and productively.

Also, I understand that as a WiR, you are receiving a stipend. Please read Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure and comply as soon as possible. The policy requires that you state which organization is paying you, e.g. Code for Africa. You do not have to mention all the partners involved in the project, just the one organization that actually pays you. Best, Clayoquot (talk | contribs) 20:00, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
